How much are the grants?
Grants are fixed for each type of measure as indicated in the table below.
Grant approval must be in place before any purchase of materials or commencement of measures undertaken.
Grants are paid after the measures are completed and the contractor has been paid by the homeowner.
In the instance where the cost of the work (vat inclusive) is less than the fixed grant amount, the actual cost will be reimbursed.

| Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV) |
How do TRV's work?
The TRV operates in response to changes in room temperature.
The temperature sensing element incorporated in the head opens and closes the valve as the room temperature changes.
As the room cools down the sensing element recognises the changes and opens the valve to allow the radiator and the room to heat up.
As the room heats up to its required level, the sensing element will gradually close the valve decreasing the heat to the radiator and room.
When the desired room temperature is achieved the TRV will maintain this temperature by slowly modulating.
Can Fitting TRV's save money?
Most houses are designed for outside temperatures of -1C. When outside temperatureis above this (90% of the Winter), the heating system produces too much heat. If this goes unregulated your money is going up the chimney (or flue).
The TRV's allow individual room temperature control when installed with other system constraints up to 15% can be saved on your annual heating bill. You will also be more comfortable!
What effect does the TRV have on my radiators?
When the desired room temperature is achieved, the radiator will cool down or go cold, until the room temperature drops below the selected level.
How do I select the required temperature?
The TRV has an incremental scale of four degrees between settings (8 C -28 C), set the valve to your comfort level and leave it. More Info
